Those Head Turning Tulips
The alternate world of flowers is sacred for me, so much so that my greenhouse apartment has several flowering plants and one tangerine plant which quite literally is growing forever. I am also trying to overhaul these gloomy days with photographs I took from Canada Blooms. Get prints and put them on the walls. I am told flower power is an effective way to trigger sensory experiences. And with my blocked nose, I see no reason why I should not take full advantage of what my camera has captured.
And to get an abundance of long stemmed TULIPS in radiant-reds, titanium-whites, fiery-oranges, mellow-yellows and plum-purples…I did not have to travel far, thanks to the gratitude of the Dutch to Canada in return for sheltering one of their Princesses’ during the Second World War.
History apart, Tulips were the top performers at the Canada Blooms this year. And here’s why!

Roses Are Red, And They Are Pink And Blue Too!
Wonder how many poets have written paeans about the eloquence of the Rose. However, I will not attempt any such thing here (in case you were contemplating a quick scoot from PreeOccupied).
Instead I leave you to enjoy photographs of accents and decorations done with roses. These pictures were clicked at the Canada Blooms, Toronto, which is a four-day annual event to usher Spring in.
Its minus one degree here today and dull and gloomy outside, I am looking and relooking at the pictures from yesterday to cheer myself up. Looks like its working…
